METHODOLOGY

A consulting engagement, not an automated service.

The methodology is a guide, not a rigid template. We adapt depth, scope and techniques to your circumstances.

TRACK A

Security assessment & testing

When you want to know how well an application, API or environment holds up against a real attack.

  1. 01

    Scope

Establish objectives, asset boundaries, access, constraints and rules of engagement.

  2. 02

    Test

Perform structured testing, combining suitable automation with hands-on investigation.

  3. 03

    Validate

Verify findings, assess real-world implications and gather appropriate supporting evidence.

  4. 04

    Report & Retest

Deliver prioritized findings, remediation guidance and follow-up validation where agreed.

WHAT EACH STAGE INVOLVES

01

Scope

We start with a conversation about what you want to know and why. Then we define which systems are included, what access is needed and what is explicitly excluded.

The result is a written agreement on scope, timeframe, contact routes and rules of engagement.

02

Test

Automated tooling provides breadth and efficiency. Depth comes from hands-on work, reasoning about how the system is built and where its assumptions may fail.

If we discover something serious during testing, we contact you directly rather than waiting for the report.

03

Validate

Every finding is verified before it is reported. We assess under which conditions a weakness can be exploited and what the consequence is in your environment.

This reduces false positives and makes prioritization meaningful.

04

Report & Retest

The report contains a summary for decision-makers and technical detail for those remediating. We are happy to walk through the results with the relevant teams.

When retesting is included, we verify that fixes work as intended.

TRACK B

Secure solutions & engineering

When you need help designing, building or fixing – with security built in from the start.

  1. 01

    Understand

Business context, system boundaries and security objectives.

  2. 02

    Design

Identify risks and choose the right security approach.

  3. 03

    Build

Hands-on development and implementation of agreed controls.

  4. 04

    Verify

Review and test the result against agreed requirements.

  5. 05

    Improve

    Documentation and remaining priorities.

WHAT EACH STAGE INVOLVES

01

Understand

We start with what you are building or changing, why, and which requirements apply. Together we agree which parts are included and what success looks like.

02

Design

Threat modeling and architecture review identify where the risks lie. The result is a concrete, prioritized security approach that fits your environment – not a generic framework.

03

Build

We write code, change configuration and introduce agreed security controls, side by side with your team or independently. This is real implementation, not just recommendations.

04

Verify

What has been built is reviewed and tested with the same offensive mindset as in a penetration test, so the controls actually hold.

05

Improve

You receive technical documentation, decision records and a clear picture of what remains to prioritize going forward.

Separate or combined – based on your needs.

The tracks work independently, but often flow into each other: findings from a test can be remediated hands-on by us, and a newly built solution can be verified with an offensive test.

You choose how much we take on. We adapt the process to the engagement, not the other way around.

ATTACK PATH

From first observation to verified fix.

A simplified example of how an attack chain is followed, then broken. Select a stage to read more.

01 / 05

Reconnaissance

We map exposed services, endpoints, identities and dependencies within the agreed scope — what an attacker could see from the outside.

PRINCIPLES

  1. 1.Technical depth over superficial scanning.
  2. 2.Evidence over assumptions.
  3. 3.Clear recommendations over unnecessarily complicated reports.
  4. 4.Direct expert communication over impersonal sales processes.

NEXT STEP

Let’s start with your security objectives.

Tell us what you want to test, build or improve. We will suggest a suitable approach and explain the next steps.
